The Tiger’s Den Food Pantry is open to anyone in need, in the zip code 14226, or by referral.
The October pantry hours are: Thursdays (10/6 and 10/20) from 3:00 pm—6:30 pm and Saturdays (10/8 and 10/22) from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Donations for October: canned beans (all kinds), canned chicken, canned tuna, rice (white, brown, jasmine, basmati) and coffee & tea. Donations can be dropped off Monday – Friday to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (4007 Main St. – Office Entrance) during office hours: 9:30 – 1:30 daily. The Daily Bread Food Truck and the Tiger’s Den Food Pantry have teamed up together to help those hungry in the community. The Daily Bread Food Truck will be offering free meals at St. Paul’s to the “Pantry Families” and community when the pantry is open. The meal-share dates for June are Thursdays 3rd and 17th at St. Paul’s from 3-5:30 pm, and Saturdays June 12th and 26th at St. Paul’s from 9 am-11:30 am, If you would like to sponsor a “giving meal” event, please contact Katie at 716-835-0407

The Daily Bread Food Truck will be parked at the Amherst High School front lot loop on Monday 14th and 21st from 5-7 pm handing out free hot meals to the community. Since April, they have given away over 800 meals, just on Mondays alone!
For the month of June, St. Paul’s is looking particularly for Tiger’s Den donations of coffee, tea, rice, and canned fruit. Personal care products (shampoo, deodorant, body wash, lotion, and hand soap) are always needed and welcomed.

Because of continued food insecurity in WNY, the Daily Bread Food Truck will be working with restaurants from the area serving free meals every Monday night through June.
Starting Monday April 12th,the Truck will be parked at the driveway loop in front of Amherst High School on Main Street from 5-7 pm.

The Amherst Central School District, in partnership with St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Eggertsville and FeedMore WNY (formerly the Food Bank of WNY) offers a collaborative food pantry. Families who qualify in the 14226 zip code (regardless if they have children attending the school district) and the 14221 zip code (if their children are enrolled at ACSD) are eligible for pantry services.
For three years, the Amherst Central School District has operated the “Tiger’s Den” food pantry which provides access to nutritional foods and household products for many families within the district. It has been a great success and welcome addition to our community, serving an average of 75 families per month.
Current highlighted needs for Fall and Back-to-School are cereal, juice boxes, granola bars, individual fruit cups or applesauce, peanut butter & jelly.
