Robin Koves’ life ended, on March 22, 2023, at the age of 66, after a 30-year battle arising out of Polycystic Kidney Disease. She was born on August 23, 1956, in Buffalo, NY, before immigrating to Toronto, Canada, where she put down roots and raised her family. Robin was a devoted wife and best friend to her husband, Robert, and a proud mother to her children, Jacky and Lex. She was overjoyed to see them find happiness with their partners, Matt and Sarah. Whenever possible, this included sisters, brothers, cousins, and grandparents. Robin was an avid game player. She met her husband, Robert, over a backgammon board. She loved a rousing game of “Oh Hell” and was the best trivia player in the family. In addition to her role as a mother and homemaker, Robin was a key participant in the daily operation of the family business. Grants in Action! Earlier in the school year, the Amherst Central Alumni Foundation awarded a grant to Middle School Teacher Ms. Whitten for a beautification project to enhance the 6th grade hall at the school. She kindly sent us a thank you and images of the completed project. It’s through donations from Tiger Alumni that allow to fund projects like this.
