Alumni Chorale will meet for next sing-along on Monday June 5th

The Alumni Chorale will meet for our next sing-along on Monday June 5th from 7:00-8:30 pm at the Christ United Methodist Church 350 Saratoga Rd Snyder, NY 14226  Corner of Saratoga and Harlem.

Graduating from Amherst is NOT a requirement. We will be welcoming anyone who loves to sing. Just join us on Monday to see if you might be interested.

Jeanne Conte Eppich ’95 is our outstanding director and Ann Mosner is our incredibly skilled accompanist.

Grants In Action: Amherst Rock Concert Orchestra Goes Electric

One of the foundation’s spring grant requests was by Amherst Middle School Music Teacher Patrick O’Donnell. He started the Amherst Rock Concert Orchestra (ARCO) a number years ago. One component ARCO was lacking was an ELECTRIC sound. His grant request was for 4 “Soundclip” instrument pickups. These clip to instruments and connect to amplifiers. Mr. O’Donnell sent us a thank you video featuring the Soundclips in action and the Amherst Alma Mater! Grants like this are funded through donations by Tiger Alumni.

Grants In Action: Women4Change Club

Grants In Action: The Amherst Central Alumni Foundation, Inc. funded the purchase of t-shirts for the Women4Change Club at ACHS. The club advisor is Anne Ward, Social Studies Teacher and the club is new this year. The Empower Women t-shirts were worn throughout March (Women’s History Month) and at the Seneca Falls Summit on March 29 and 30. ACHS Principal, Gregory Pigeon had the Women4Change Club lead the school’s International Women’s Day celebration. The shirts are helping the club be more visible in the school and in their community work in the district and Western New York.

Join the Amherst Central Alumni Foundation’s Board of Directors

The Amherst Central Alumni Foundation, Inc. is looking to grow our alumni Board of Directors for the 2023-2024 school year. The Directors manage the Foundation and all of its activities and events. Our board committees help perform a variety of tasks and support functions for the Foundation and our Grant Program.

If you have a special talent you would like to share or would like to give back to the Amherst Central School District by volunteering for the Foundation, please fill out our brief questionnaire by clicking here.

Please respond by Monday, May 8, 2023.

The Foundation Board meets monthly throughout the school year, generally the third Thursday of every month.
