Age 72. Beloved husband of Colleen (nee Murphy) Miller; devoted father of Alyson Miller, and Nicholas (Holly) Miller; proud grandfather of Bria Miller; loving brother of Kurt (Karen) Miller, Julie Schuetze, and Lisa (Matt) Stiles. Survived by several nieces and nephews; predeceased by his parents Richard A. and Marcia (nee Smith) Miller. Eric was a trusted financial planner, a kind and faith-driven man who enjoyed all things Buffalo, including the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, (while also a lifetime Boston Red Sox fan). Beyond family and friends, his first love was the game of golf, which he enjoyed locally and traveling with his son to play Pebble Beach, Old Head and Pinehurst. Eric also loved music: a shared enthusiasm with his daughter and others through singing in choirs, playing piano, and attending concerts. Eric was a devoted member of Christ United Methodist Church in Amherst, NY and First United Methodist Church of North Andover, MA. Eric enjoyed serving in Lions Club and as president of the Buffalo GYRO Fraternity. John R. Adam, 69, of Wenham, MA, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sayre, PA, and raised in Amherst, NY, John was the son of the late John J. and Phyllis (Martin) Adam. John was a graduate of Amherst Central High School and later attended Ashland College in Ohio. John went on to have a successful career as a mortgage banker.
It was in his personal life where John truly shined. He spent most of his adult life on the North Shore of Massachusetts, where he cultivated a love for boating. John had a keen eye for design and was passionate about the homes he created. He was known for his enthusiasm in the kitchen, always eager to share a meal and a laugh with those he loved.
To John, his friends were family. His sense of humor and infectious personality made him a friend to many, and he had a unique ability to make anyone feel welcome. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the joy he brought to those around him.
John’s family was of great importance to him. He is survived by his wife, Heidi (Zenger) Adam, whom he married in 2010. John is also survived by his beloved daughter, Alexandra Adam, and son-in-law, David Chattman, his stepdaughter, Ellis Hargadon, whom he lovingly referred to as his “bonus daughter”, as well as his sister, Lisa Adam. John was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan (Augello) Adam, who passed away in 2005. John and Susan were married in 1980 and share a daughter, Alexandra.
A Memorial and Celebration of John’s Life will be held at 11am on January 11, 2025 at Myopia Hunt Club. Robert Allen Kositsky (Bob) – age 85 – passed away peacefully on July 26, 2024.
Bob was a loving, hard-working, and quick-witted man. He was known for his seriousness, yet his dry sense of humor never failed to produce laughs. He enjoyed traveling, lazy weekend mornings, playing pranks on his family and co-workers, and relaxing with his fur babies, Buddy and Zooey.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 22nd,1939, he was the son of Stanley Kositsky and Sylvia Karsh. In 1953, his family moved to Buffalo, New York where he graduated from Amhurst High School in 1957, and then graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1961. He remained very proud to be a part of the Kappa Nu fraternity brotherhood. He joined the US Army Reserves in 1962 and remained enlisted for 6 years. He married his love Francine on November 26th, 1983 in Wilmington, Delaware. Bob and Fran moved to South Florida in 1984 where they built their family home in 1986, located in the Welleby community of Sunrise, Florida. They started fostering children shortly after. Bob and Fran adopted their three children, Kevin, Danielle, and Lauren in 1991. Bob worked primarily in the hospitality and customer care industries until his retirement in 2014.
Bob will be remembered for his outlandish jokes that often included food items, his love for his fraternity brothers, and his unwillingness to be without his love, Franny.
In addition to his parents, Stanley and Sylvia, Bob was preceeded in death by his wife of 40 years Francine who unexpectedly passed only 20 days prior to his passing, his brother Mark, cousin David, in-laws Frank and Enid Stevens, sister-in-law Julie Stevens and nieces- Erica and Amy Stevens. Bob is survived by his children – Danielle Troutman (Kevin), Lauren Alvarez (Isaac), and Kevin Kositsky, Grandchildren – Miranda, Sophia, Olivia, Konnor and Asher. He had many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Trapper (Lee).
Beloved longtime coach of the Lockport Ernies softball team, Scott spent much of his life as the “Mr. Mom” to his two sons. He also earned a degree in Computer Science and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse caring for the elderly throughout the Greater Buffalo area.
In his early life, he attended Amherst Central High School class of ’78 and was a volunteer fireman with the Snyder Fire Department. His ability to make people laugh and love unconditionally will never be forgotten.
Age 62, born August 1961, passed away April 29, 2024. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Paul passed away peacefully under the comfort, dignity and care of Hospice Buffalo, Sloan Comfort Care, an extradentary facility with an extremely, caring and compassionate staff of volunteers. To many, he was loved as a great son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a wonderfully talented artist who painted, drew, played clarinet, guitar (as well as other instruments) and won awards for his incredible skill and passion of photography. Known as ‘Photoman,” his photography career started from a young age and his works of photo art spanned for more than half a century with a portfolio of 10’s of thousands of photos. His morning sunrise pictures were often featured on channel 4 morning news in Buffalo.
Paul is survived by his Mom, Tanya Miller, Brothers Brian (Ann), Bruce (Ann), Tim (Melissa, deceased), Dave (Debby), Joel (Anita), 18 Nieces and Nephews, many decades long, loyal friendships and is preceded in death by his nephew Maxwell Miller and father Clark Miller.
Paul started photography at the age of five when he received a camera for Christmas. Always artistic from an early age, he mastered the art of photography by seeing the potential of a moment through the lens of a camera. By the age of 7, he had his own darkroom in the family basement. He started in black and white because it was less costly to develop as a kid, but made his photos colorful by capturing the essence of his subjects.
Paul graduated from Amherst High School, followed by a degree from Ithaca College as a Cinema/Photography major. He was the supervisor of product photography at Jordan Marsh, Boston. From there he was the master photographer for The Franklin Mint and Lennox while living in Philadelphia, where hundreds of his photos were featured in ads of many national publications. Paul also freelanced his entire life including thousands of photos from rock concerts (Rolling Stones and Ted Nugent, his favorites) starting in the 1970’s up until recently.
He also enjoyed playing sports requiring precision and dexterity including pool, tennis and ping pong. Paul was always passionate and hard working at everything he did including cooking his famous authentic Italian sauce and meatballs as well as at his most recent job with the Town of Amherst Highway Department, where even as he was fighting the good fight for life, he showed up for work every day as he was committed to being there for his work partners. Paul always made people feel comfortable and loved. His use of self-deprecating humor to point out his own faults, made him honest to a fault. He is loved and will be missed by his family, especially his mom and five brothers, all of whom he was very close to.
