Here is the video of Amherst Central High School’s 88th Commencement. The Amherst Central School District and the staff and administration at the high school did an incredible job of making sure the Class of 2020 was honored for its achievements during this unprecedented time in school’s history.
Rosemary Dayton, former choral music teacher at Amherst High School and Jeanne Conte Eppich, former student and singer at Amherst will each conduct a portion of the Amherst Central Alumni Chorale’s spring concert, entitled UNIQUE. Choral music from many genres will be performed. The outstanding Amherst High School Jazz Band, under the direction of Mr. Craig Incontro, will also perform.
Ms. Dayton retired from Amherst High School in 2000. Ms. Eppich is currently the band teacher and director at Transit Middle School.
The Chorale, now in its fourth year, is comprised of alumni of the Amherst Schools whose graduation years range from the 1950s to 2011. The Amherst Schools have a rich history of excellence in music and many graduates have continued on to become performers or music teachers.
The concert will take place Monday, May 15, 2017 at 7:30 in the Theodore Masterson Auditorium at Amherst High School. The concert is free to the public any donations will be gratefully accepted.
