On Saturday, July 25, 2015, the Amherst Central High School 85th Anniversary Cocktail Party took place at Daemen College’s Wick Center.

The Amherst Central Alumni Foundation will hold its 85th anniversary celebration from Thursday, July 23, through Saturday, July 25, featuring a golf outing, choral sing and other events.
The festivities begin with the 14th annual Alumni Golf Classic, set for a shotgun start at noon Thursday, July 23, at Glen Oak Golf Course, 711 Smith Road, Amherst.
Registration for the golf event begins at 10 a.m., with lunch served at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start for golfing at noon. A dinner and awards program, featuring a live auction, will be held from 4 to 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the Golf Classic will benefit the Amherst Central Alumni Foundation grant program.
On Friday, July 24, tours of Amherst High School will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also during that time, people will be able to meet past and present faculty. During the tours, which are coordinated by Alumni Foundation board member Ellen Marshal, current and past students will have memorabilia on display at tables and yearbooks will be available for purchase.
Also on Friday, a choral sing will be held from noon to 3 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

LaChiusa, Ronald (Michele) LaChiusa and Janeen (Thomas) Bolender; cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; loving son of the late William and Ann LaChiusa; dear brother of Robert (April) LaChiusa and Rosemary Blando; also survived by relatives and many friends.
